Pink Salt

Spice Genie’s Pink salt is mined from the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan, located close to the Himalayas. The Khewra Salt Mine is among the world’s oldest and largest salt mines. The Spice Genie’s Pink Himalayan salt extracted from this mine is thought to have originated from the evaporation of ancient bodies of water millions of years ago.
Hand-extracting and minimally processing the salt makes an unprocessed product with no additives that are much more natural than table salt.
As with table salt, pink Himalayan salt consists primarily of sodium chloride.
However, due to the natural harvesting method, Spice Genie’s Pink Himalayan salt contains numerous minerals and trace elements that are absent from conventional table salt.
According to some estimates, it may contain as many as 84 distinct minerals and trace elements. In reality, these minerals, particularly iron, are responsible for their distinctive pink hue.

Suggested Usage

Spice Genie’s Pink salt is extensive used in verity of dishes. Pink Himalayan salt can be used to cook and serve a wide range of foods including baking or grilling meats, poultry, eggs, fish, seafood, fresh fruit, and vegetables. It is also used at meet preservative.
